ectaco partner ER800 - not translating, no dictionary  XML

hey there, my dad has a problem with his ER800. he has it for a few years already and it worked all good so far. but since a few days his ectaco isn't translating anymore and he can't use the dictionary. every time i type in a word and want to translate it, it just loads to 100% and shows nothing. and for the dictionary, i click on it and nothing happens.
i hope someone can help us

Hey,

Thanks for the message, i would try the following:

-Remove the battery.
-Remove the SD card.
-Wait about 10 seconds.
-Replace both
-Connect to the charger.
-Press and hold the RESET button for a few seconds.
-The device should function normally.

The 800 series is an older model, we have a much newer one (also faster and better) called the Partner LUX/ER. We have an amazing trade in program, you can get the Partner LUX for a fraction of the cost.
